Heir to House Tarth and acting regent for his sickly father, Selwyn the Evenstar. Endrew was married to a lady of House Caron and had two children; Simon and Shyra of Tarth. He is the eldest sibling amongst many, including Ser Quentyn of the Kingsguard, Ser Galladon of Tarth, Lady Jeyne Buckler, and the deceased Lady Alayne Dondarrion.

Following the Tourney at Blackhaven and his nephew, Durran Dondarrion's death, Endrew ordered his family to return to Evenfall Hall and the isle of Tarth and not remain with Lord Uthor or his allies. His brother, Galladon, disregarded the demand and remained with the Dondarrions to lend his support, angering Endrew.

When word reached the Tarths of Alyn Connington's death as well, shortly followed by Galladon returning with a plea for assistance from House Dondarrion, Endrew called a council meeting to determine their House's stance in the growing tensions. Endrew decalred they would remain Connington loyalists as they had been since the Ascent. The council became out of hand when Endrew and Galladon disagreed upon who to support, resulting in Endrew placing his brother under house arrest to ensure he didn't return to Uthor.

Endrew, his children, and his youngest sister, Lady Jeyne Buckler, traveled together to the funeral of Alyn Connington, reuniting with Jeyne's family, Lord Buckler and their children, as well as many other notable Connington loyalist. When the Lord Paramount declared war on House Dondarrion and their allies, Endrew was given command of the fleet and ordered to sail for Oniontown. He was embarrassed during the council, however, by his only son Simon Tarth who spoke out against Orys Connington in favor of Uthor.

Endrew participated in the Sacking of Oniontown, commanding the fleet and sailing half of Lord Orys' army to the town. Before departing Griffin's Roost, he agreed to allow Simon to become Lady Jeyne's personal sworn sword.
