Lister was a member of the Burning Hand's Men. He was short of temper, quick to anger, and had a cruel streak, though it was said that his bark was worse than his bite.

During the white walker attacks in the Riverlands Squint was part of the the small group of Burning Hand's Men who took Lord Jojen Stark, the Lord Paramount of the North, captive. On their way south, to ransom off the lord for gold, they holed up in an abandoned mill where they were attacked by wights. Lister is assumed to have died in the following battle
